The Olympians' dynamic duo of Cowan and JT Voelker proved tough for Jasper to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Kimmet helped Columbus East's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 45 yards.
Jones provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Columbus East beat Tony Ahrens' team. Jones' key target this week was Voelker, who caught 2 passes for 60 yards.
Jones was a force in the backfield as the Olympians bested the Wildcats.
Seymour's Austin Sutton and Zach Schlatterer have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Sutton has thrown for 1,421 yards this season, while Schlatterer has 36 catches for 828 yards. Tuwan Payton from New Albany leads the league in rushing with 2,177 yards.
Columbus East's Cowan needs only 28 yards against New Palestine next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Cowan has rushed for 972 yards on 98 carries so far this year.
The Olympians made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 317 from 427. The improvement was largely due to a 42-0 victory over Jasper last week.
