The Casteel Colts won the last time they faced the Chandler Wolves, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Casteel came out on top against Chandler by a score of 57-47. Given Casteel's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Chandler is ranked 119th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Aidan Schmidt, who shot 5-for-9 from deep and dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amare King, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Casteel is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Chandler, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Casteel won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Gilbert at 4:00 p.m. on December 27, 2023. As for Chandler, they will head out on the road to face off against Corona del Sol at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th. Corona del Sol has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
