After a string of three wins, the Spring Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Grand Oaks 47-42. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Spring came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Grand Oaks is ranked 998th).
Despite the loss, Spring still got an impressive performance from Tadarius Wade, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tramaine Jackson, who scored 6 points.
Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Grand Oaks, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.
Spring will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Lake Creek at 1:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Grand Oaks, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Klein Collins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Klein Collins has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 561 points over their last eight matchups.
