On Friday Marion County will take on Polk County at 7:30 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Marion County now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
Marion County might have drawn first blood against Loudon last Friday, but it was Loudon who got the last laugh. It was a hard-fought matchup, but Marion County had to settle for a 18-26 defeat against Loudon. This makes it the second loss in a row for Marion County.
Meanwhile, Polk County came into their this week averaging 30.13 points per game, but Polk County fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They suffered a grim 3-24 defeat to Meigs County. The game was a 3-3 toss-up at halftime, but Polk County were outplayed the rest of the way.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
