Basketball Recap: Laguna Hills' Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Laguna Hills extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Jackson Burnham. The stars were shining brightly for the Laguna Hills Hawks in a 53-39 win over the Garden Grove Argonauts on Wednesday thanks in part to Burnham, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Garden Grove's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Neiman Quach, who posted 15 points and seven rebounds. That was a full 38.5% of Garden Grove's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Juarez, who had 11 points along with five assists and three steals.

Laguna Hills' victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Garden Grove, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7.

Laguna Hills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-42 loss against Irvine on the 20th. As for Garden Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 58-47 win against Saddleback on the 20th.
