Pecos is 0-10 against Seminole since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pecos Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Seminole Indians at 7:45 p.m. Pecos is hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses.
Pecos suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Greenwood on the road and fell 98-53. While losing is never fun, Pecos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1551st, while Greenwood is ranked 518th).
Meanwhile, Seminole entered their tilt with Monahans with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Seminole snuck past Monahans with a 61-55 win on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Pecos' loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Seminole, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.
Pecos was dealt a bruising 79-23 loss at the hands of Seminole when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Pecos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
