It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Papillion-LaVista South had no problem doing just that on Friday. They snuck past the Millard North Mustangs with a 61-57 victory. The Titans are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 15 straight.
Bryson Bahl was his usual excellent self, going 11-for-19 to rack up 33 points and eight boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Webb, who scored ten points and five rebounds.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Deacon Courtney, who shot 73% from the field on his way to 16 points and six boards. Amari Rahaman was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 11 points and three steals.
Papillion-LaVista South's win bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Millard North, they moved to 19-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
Papillion-LaVista South has already played their next matchup, a 61-58 victory against Omaha Westside on the 15th. Millard North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
