Volleyball Recap: Ragsdale's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Western Guilford came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Ragsdale, but Emily Fisher wouldn't allow it. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Hornets 3-2 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Fisher, who had 32 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Ragsdale was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 24-26, 22-25, 25-23, 15-9.

Payton Wood and Ava Whisnant certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Wood had 29 digs and three aces, while Whisnant had 15 digs, 14 kills, and two blocks.

The win made it two in a row for Ragsdale and bumps their season record up to 9-10. As for Western Guilford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Ragsdale has already played their next matchup (against Southwest Guilford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Western Guilford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Page on the 9th.
