Brookfield and Pomperaug are an even 5-5 against one another  since February of 2017, but  not for long. The Brookfield Bobcats will head out on the road to  face off against  the Pomperaug Panthers at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Brookfield is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a four-game streak of away losses.
 Even though Brookfield has not done well against Immaculate recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way  on Monday. Brookfield secured a  69-64 W over Immaculate. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
  Shane Weber was  his usual excellent self,  scoring 46 points along with seven  rebounds and five  assists. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which  he has scored at least a third of Brookfield's points.  Danny Ciriello was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points along with three  blocks.
 Meanwhile, Pomperaug took a serious blow against Kolbe-Cathedral on Monday, falling  65-37. Pomperaug has struggled against Kolbe-Cathedral recently, as their  match on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
 Brookfield's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Pomperaug, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
 Everything went Brookfield's way against Pomperaug in their previous meeting  back in January of 2023 as Brookfield made off with a  100-77 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brookfield since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
