Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hickory). They put the hurt on the Statesville Greyhounds with a sharp 19-7 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Red Tornadoes as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Hickory's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 3-11. As for Statesville, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the loss, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Hickory will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Greyhounds: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
