Ethan Champman posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out three batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

Looking ahead, Champman and Lake Central will square off against Portage at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Central is a perfect 10-0 against Portage going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
