Chenango Forks scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Greene, 22-14. At the time, the Trojans was ranked 24th in the state, while the Blue Devils was 48th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Greene, who took down 24th ranked Greene, 22-14.
Joe Beckwith provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Tim Paske's team lost to Chenango Forks. He completed four passes for 82 yards and also ran for 11 yards. Beckwith's favorite target this week was Dan Treadwell, who caught three passes for 41 yards.
Mike Beckwith was the most productive running back in Section 4 C Division V this week. In 16 carries, he ran for 72 yards as the Trojans lost to the Blue Devils. Cole Browning also contributed to the rushing game with 23 yards on the ground.
Greene's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Beckwith has thrown for 255 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Lane Whittaker has six catches for 110 yards. Beckwith leads the league in rushing with 378 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Sidney takes on Greene. At the moment, the Warriors are in second, while the Trojans are in fourth.
There should be lots of points scored when Sidney and Greene face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Jeff Matthews's team comes in having scored 111 this season, while the Trojans have scored 134. The Warriors scored 26 points last week as they bested Walton.
Chenango Forks extended the longest winning streak in Section 4 C Division V this week by beating Greene, 22-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
