South Anchorage faced Juneau-Douglas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wolverines came out on top against the Crimson Bears by a score of 2-0. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Crimson Bears recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Loryn Peterson paced South Anchorage's offense, picking up eight kills. Peterson got some help from Ellie Kleven and her 22 assists. Kleven was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
