After a string of three wins, The Collierville Dragons''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. The match between Collierville and Houston wasn't particularly close, with Collierville falling 42-28. Collierville lost against Houston in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 34-6 score last time.
Collierville's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aidan Glover, who threw for 129 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Houston to victory, but perhaps none more so than Damon Sisa, who rushed for 204 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Andre Allen, who picked up 168 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Collierville's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Houston, their win was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-2.
Collierville will face off against Clarksville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Houston, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Dickson County at 7:00 p.m. Dickson County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 164th, while Houston is ranked tenth).
