The Providence Pioneers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 50-13 victory over North Daviess. Providence's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Providence's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Preston Kempf, who rushed for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Providence also got a significant boost from Thomas Lynch, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 103 yards.
Providence's win was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 12-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for North Daviess, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Providence will look to defend their home field on Friday against Springs Valley at 7:30 p.m. Springs Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. North Daviess does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
