Elyria Catholic  took care of business in their home opener  (and then some) on Monday. Everything went their way against the Avon Lake Shoremen as Elyria Catholic made off with  a  13-3 victory.

 Lillian Ciryak and  Nadia Pagan did most of the damage at the plate:  Ciryak  went a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs, while  Pagan  scored four  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Those  four  hits gave  Ciryak a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Hannah Brooks, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Elyria Catholic  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Avon Lake only posted  an  OBP of  .381.
 Elyria Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  14-3  win against Midview on the 25th. As for Avon Lake, they have also  already played their next game,  an  11-1  victory against North Olmsted on the 25th.
