The North DeSoto Griffins will head out on the road to take on the Minden Crimson Tide at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North DeSoto knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Minden likes a good challenge.
On Friday, everything came up roses for North DeSoto against Booker T. Washington-Shreveport as the squad secured a 44-16 win. The Griffins haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Braelyn Latin produced another solid effort rushing for 171 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Latin is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Kerry Hunter was in the mix too, providing North DeSoto with two scores.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: North DeSoto was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 238 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 214 rushing yards in six consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Minden managed to keep up with Loyola College Prep until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Crimson Tide came up short against the Flyers, falling 71-48.
North DeSoto will need to focus on slowing down Jaden Johnson, one of several Minden players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 240 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 75 yards on only ten carries. Lucas Owens Jr. was another key rusher, rushing for 99 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
North DeSoto's record is now 5-0. As for Minden, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. North DeSoto has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 252.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Minden struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 238.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for North DeSoto against Minden in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Griffins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
