Campbell County is 2-8 against Sheridan since March of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Campbell County Camels will head out on the road to square off against the Sheridan Broncs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Campbell County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight defeat. They suffered a tough 68-42 loss at the hands of Central. Campbell County has struggled against Central recently, as their contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Rylan Robertson, who scored nine points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Nate Williams, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Sheridan faced Laramie in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Sheridan fell just short of Laramie by a score of 83-81. It was the first time this season that Sheridan let down their fans at home.
Campbell County's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Sheridan, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5.
Campbell County came up short against Sheridan in their previous meeting back in January, falling 59-55. Can Campbell County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
