The Churchill Bulldogs had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged Poolesville out 32-29. The victory was just what Churchill needed coming off of a 50-28 loss in their prior match.
Despite the loss, Poolesville still got an impressive performance from Alex Sosna, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Sosna has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kate Dacanay, who scored seven points.
Churchill's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Poolesville, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Churchill will take on Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Bethesda-Chevy Chase is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Poolesville, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Magruder at 7:15 p.m. on January 8th.
