The Omaha Northwest Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 66-19 defeat at the hands of Lincoln Southeast. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Omaha Northwest has scored all season.
Omaha Northwest's loss came despite strong showings from Jessica Houston and Sania Childs. Houston scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Childs scored five points along with three steals.
Omaha Northwest bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Lincoln Southeast, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
Omaha Northwest will head out on the road to take on Buena Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln Southeast, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lincoln High. Hopefully Lincoln High focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Thursday.
