Brandon Smith Has Career-Day on Friday
Starting off the list is Central's Brandon Smith, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Smith rushed for 212 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
For the season, Smith has averaged 23.6 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he had three rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 13.

Clovis West is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. Darrington's next contest is against Clovis North on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Jackson Cinfel's big game helped extend Clovis North's winning streak to three on Friday. Cinfel was excellent, rushing for 160 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (100.3) per game.
Clovis North has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Cinfel and Clovis North will be playing at home against Clovis West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
