The biggest upset of the week belonged to Our Lady of Mercy, who took down 198th ranked Our Lady of Mercy, 30-27.
Landmark Christian moved up to 204 from 250 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in A Region 5. The War Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of a 30-27 win over the Bobcats.
Mount Vernon Presbyterian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustang feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Elijah Burnette has thrown for 464 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Browning Dunn has 11 catches for 180 yards. Burnette also leads the league in rushing with 769 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Mount Vernon Presbyterian takes on Eagle's Landing Christian Academy. The Mustang's offense has scored 135 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Chargers have allowed only 68 on the year.
A big matchup in A Region 5 this week will be when Holy Innocents Episcopal takes on Our Lady of Mercy. As it stands, the Golden Bears are in fifth, while the Bobcats are in second.
Landmark Christian and Our Lady of Mercy played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Landmark Christian eventually emerging with a 30-27 victory.
