3A Special District 1 recap October 29, 2013
Cascade Christian added to the longest winning streak in 3A Special District 1 this week by beating Lost River, 46-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Challengers.
Rogue River and Chiloquin played the most contested game in the league this week, with Rogue River eventually emerging with a 34-33 victory.
Illinois Valley's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. C.J. Manning threw for 173 and 2 touchdowns and Logan Miller had 93 yards receiving. On the ground James Thompson contributed 222 yards. T.J. Hughey helped Illinois Valley's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 58 yards.
Thompson was a force in the backfield as the Cougars topped Lakeview/Paisley.

Miller was the best receiver in the league this week as Raymond Yarbrough's team defeated Lakeview/Paisley. Hughey helped Illinois Valley's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 58 yards.
Illinois Valley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Manning has thrown for 1,333 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Miller has 25 catches for 388 yards.
The top two teams in 3A Special District 1 will face off this week when first place Cascade Christian takes on second place Lakeview/Paisley.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Sean Radford's team takes on Cascade Christian. The Honkers have allowed 154 points this season, while Jon Gettman's team has given up 142.
The Challengers took down the Raiders 46-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
