Berkshires recap Nov. 7, 2012
Wahconah Regional extended the longest winning streak in Berkshires this week by beating Taconic, 32-6. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Warriors.
St. Joseph Central took down Pittsfield 36-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jon Bianchi threw for 77 yards and ran for 90 yards in the win.
The Crusaders' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Luke Clark helped St. Joseph Central's passing attack out by catching one ball for 20 yards.
Mike Carpenter was the best wideout in the league this week as St. Joseph Central defeated the Generals. Carpenter racked up two receptions for 38 yards.
St. Joseph Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Crusaders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bianchi has thrown for 505 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Taverick Roberson has nine catches for 184 yards. Lavante Wiggins leads the league in rushing with 881 yards.
Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,736 from 11,940. The advance stemmed from a 44-17 victory over Lee/Lenox Memorial last week.
