Despite the loss, East Nashville Magnet saw an underclassman step up: Kelan Anderson rushed for 252 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry. Anderson really tore up the turf during one magnificent 99-yard run.
East Nashville Magnet's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Alcoa, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
