The Elkhart Wildcats will take on the Cheyenne Wells Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Tuesday, Elkhart was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Eads.
Meanwhile, Cheyenne Wells had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 44-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Syracuse on Tuesday.
Cheyenne Wells' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Corey Hill, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds, and Carson Noe who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Perry Chadwick, who scored 3 points.
Their wins bumped Elkhart to 1-2 and Eads to 2-0.
Elkhart beat Cheyenne Wells 45-32 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Does Elkhart have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cheyenne Wells turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
