Montrose fell 66-59 to Bronaugh on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Bronaugh's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Strauss Banes, who scored 25 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The matchup was Banes' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Duncan, who scored 25 points along with 6 assists.
Montrose's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bronaugh, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montrose will take on Drexel at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bronaugh, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Diamond at 6:00 p.m.
