The Rancho Rams will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks at 6:30 p.m. Rancho knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 contests -- so hopefully the Diamondbacks like a good challenge.
Even though Palo Verde scored an imposing 76 points on Thursday, Rancho still came out on top. Rancho took their matchup against the Panthers 85-76.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rancho to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jakoi Lide, who scored 28 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was R'Zha Whittle, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Desert Oasis stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Southeast Career Tech, posting a 78-30 win on the road. The victory was nothing new for Desert Oasis as they're now sitting on three straight.
Rancho pushed their record up to 20-4 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.7 points per game. As for Desert Oasis, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Everything went Rancho's way against the Diamondbacks when the teams last played back in January as the Rams made off with a 73-51 victory. Will Rancho repeat their success, or do the Diamondbacks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
