Bishop Foley is a perfect 5-0 against Cabrini since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Ventures will square off against the Monarchs at 4:30 p.m. Bishop Foley will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Bishop Foley took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Rochester. The Ventures not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 5th (when they won 7-1).
Sasha Walker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bishop Foley got a massive performance out of Leah Rovner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave Rovner a new career-high. Elanor Barnes also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Cabrini didn't have quite enough to beat Glen Lake on Saturday and fell 9-7. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jodi Browning made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Elena DelCotto, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Cabrini's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Bishop Foley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bishop Foley has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .454. However, it's not like Cabrini struggles in that department as they've averaged .496. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Bishop Foley's way against Cabrini when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as Bishop Foley made off with a 16-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ventures since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
