Desert Oasis is 10-0 against Clark since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Desert Oasis Diamondbacks will head out on the road to square off against the Clark Chargers at 6:30 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 13 consecutive losses for Desert Oasis and seven for Clark.
Desert Oasis suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Monday. They were dealt a 72-33 defeat at the hands of Democracy Prep Agassi Campus. While losing is never fun, Desert Oasis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Democracy Prep Agassi Campus is ranked fifth).
Meanwhile, Clark took a serious blow against Coronado on Monday, falling 64-21.
Desert Oasis' loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-14. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.6 points per game. As for Clark, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
Desert Oasis took their victory against Clark in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 52-27. Does Desert Oasis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Clark turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
