The Manatee Hurricanes lost against the Riverview Sarasota Rams back in November of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Manatee took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Riverview Sarasota. It was the first time this season that Manatee let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Manatee still got an impressive performance from Bonshavior Bean Jr., who picked up 84 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Dj Johnson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 81 yards and three touchdowns.
Manatee's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Riverview Sarasota, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Manatee will head out on the road to face off against Palmetto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmetto will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Manatee is ranked 82nd). As for Riverview Sarasota, they will be playing at home against Sarasota at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
