Blue Springs South was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Lee's Summit North. The Jaguars came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
Lee's Summit added to the longest winning streak in Suburban - Gold this week by beating Raytown South, 31-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Tigers.
Blue Springs South's dynamic duo of Chris Swingle and Briley Moore-McKinney proved to be unstoppable against the Broncos, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Swingle threw for 181 yards and 1 touchdown and Moore-McKinney had 90 yards receiving. Brandin Dandridge helped Blue Springs South's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 38 yards.
6-foot-3 quarterback Drew Lock of Lee's Summit is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,116. He has also thrown 26 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Darrius Shepherd. The Blue Springs star has 45 catches for 769 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Blue Springs and Eric Thomas' team. The Wildcats enters the game ranked first in the state, while the Tigers ranks third.

The league will see a high scoring game when Kelly Donohoe's team and the Tigers face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Wildcats comes in having scored 255 this season, while Lee's Summit has scored 228. Blue Springs scored 41 points last week as it beat Raymore-Peculiar.
