The Choctawhatchee Indians will square off against the Niceville Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
While Choctawhatchee's victory against Fort Walton Beach wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Vikings 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.
Choctawhatchee was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-10, 20-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Choctawhatchee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Thigpen, who had 21 assists and 11 digs. Thigpen has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Deal, who had six digs and three aces.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Niceville and South Walton had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Seahawks 3-2 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since August 29th.
