Basketball Recap: Lincoln County Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Lake Mead Christian Academy came into Saturday's game looking for another win against Lincoln County, but Kalen Bart wouldn't allow it. The Lincoln County Lynx breezed by the Lake Mead Christian Academy Eagles to the tune of 63-35 on Saturday thanks in part to Bart, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Karson Mathews, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 14 points. Those 14 points gave him a new career-high.

Despite the defeat, Lake Mead Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caynen Abittan posted 20 points. That was a full 57.1% of Lake Mead Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. Kwadwo Baryeh also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Lincoln County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points per game. As for Lake Mead Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

When Lincoln County and Lake Mead Christian Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Lincoln County will face off against White Pine and their three-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Lake Mead Christian Academy will try to stop Founders Classical Academy's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
