The Dillon Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Conway Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Dillon gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 48-31 win over Marion.
Dillon's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ayonna Lester, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 steals, and Treasure Davis, who scored 22 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Campbell, who scored 5 points along with 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Conway sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-38 win over Marion on Thursday. The victory was just what Conway needed coming off of a 47-27 defeat in their prior contest.
Dillon's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Conway, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
