Cayson Hamrick posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. He struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Hamrick's strong effort led La Joya Community over Independence and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
