Nate Axt was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. He has become a key player for Sanford: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-4 otherwise. Axt was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
