Powers Catholic will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against Saginaw at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
It could have been worse for Powers Catholic, but it could have been a whole lot better too, as the team fell 14-29 to Goodrich last Thursday.
Meanwhile, the struggle was real when Saginaw and Glenn clashed last week, but the former ultimately edged out the latter 22-20. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps rankings were right on the nose.
Saginaw's win lifted them to 1-1 while Powers Catholic's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Saginaw can add another positive mark to their record or if Powers Catholic can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Saginaw's step.
