North Summit got a massive performance out of KINZEE DISTON, who went 4-for-6 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave DISTON a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of SAVANNAH WINDHORST, who scored six runs and stole a base while getting on base in six of her seven plate appearances.
North Summit was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rowland Hall only posted a batting average of .372.
The victory got North Summit back to even at 1-1. As for Rowland Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Summit will square off against Richfield at 9:00 a.m. on March 29th. Rowland Hall will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gunnison Valley at 3:30 p.m. on April 7th.
