Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the North Kingstown Skippers walked away with it. They blew past La Salle Academy, posting a 45-12 win on the road. North Kingstown might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matches by 25 points or more this season.
Leading North Kingstown to victory were Brayden Rogers and Victor Encarnacion. Rogers threw for 132 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes, while Encarnacion gained 130 total yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Trent Sterner, who gained 91 total yards and a touchdown.
North Kingstown's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 11 times. It was a group effort, with four picking up two apiece.
The victory makes it two in a row for North Kingstown and bumps their season record up to 6-3. As for La Salle Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
North Kingstown will square off against Bishop Hendricken at 12:00 p.m. on November 19th. Bishop Hendricken is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. La Salle Academy will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on East Providence at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd.
