LaMoille and Leland are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2021, but not for long. The LaMoille Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Leland Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. LaMoille is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
Last Tuesday, LaMoille was the victim of a rough 59-38 loss at the hands of Hinckley-Big Rock. LaMoille has not had much luck with Hinckley-Big Rock recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brayden Klein, who scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Durdan, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, Leland pushed their score all the way to 62 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Hiawatha on the road by a decisive 76-62 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Tuesday (56), Leland still had to take the loss.
The losses dropped LaMoille to 2-7 and Hinckley-Big Rock to 4-3.
LaMoille might still be hurting after the 56-36 defeat they got from Leland when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can LaMoille avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
