While the Promise Prepatory Academy Warriors couldn't quite beat the Bible Baptist Christian Eagles on Tuesday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 67-point defeat they were dealt last Thursday. Promise Prepatory Academy fell just short of Bible Baptist Christian by a score of 37-34. Promise Prepatory Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bible Baptist Christian found their leader in underclassman Lia Lee, who scored eight points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. Lee is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Martin, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Promise Prepatory Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Bible Baptist Christian, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Promise Prepatory Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bible Baptist Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bible Baptist Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kings Way Christian School at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Kings Way Christian School comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
