CARSON, Calif. — The CIF announced Friday that the Home Depot Center will continue to serve as host for the CIF State Bowl Championships the next two seasons.
The CIF State Bowl Championships have taken place at the Southern California venue since the state's championship format began in 2006.
"We are excited to be holding this event in a world-class faculty," CIF Executive Director Roger Blake said in a statement.
Said Home Depot Center General Manager Katie Pandolfo: "High school football in December has become a Carson tradition, and the Home Depot Center and our community look forward to hosting players, coaches, families and football fans for two more years."
Rumors were flying that Sacramento State would begin hosting the Bowl Championships in 2013.
Blake did say that plans are in the works to alternate between Southern and Northern California for the Bowl and State Basketball Championships in 2015.
