The Miami Beach Hi-Tides lost against the Goleman Gators back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Miami Beach took a 44-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Goleman. Miami Beach has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Goleman was led to victory by Jasmin Brown and Akayla Edwards. Brown scored seven points along with nine steals and seven rebounds, while Edwards scored 25 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Edwards has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Berman, who scored three points along with six steals.
Miami Beach's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Goleman, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Miami Beach will play host again and welcome Mourning, where tip off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mourning is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Goleman, they will take on Palmetto at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmetto presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Goleman in Florida (Palmetto is ranked 145th, while Goleman is ranked 304th).
