AAA District 14 recap Oct. 30, 2012
Craigmont extended the longest winning streak in AAA District 14 this week by beating Bartlett, 51-20. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Chiefs.
Craigmont took down the Panthers 51-20 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Arlington's dynamic duo of Hunter Sheffield and Justin Boring proved tough for Millington Central to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Sheffield threw for 187 yards and three touchdowns and Boring had 85 yards receiving. Omari Hampton helped Arlington's passing attack out by catching six balls for 40 yards.
Greg Williams was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 100 yards on eight carries as Bolton topped the Trojans. Teammate Brandon Henderson added to the ground attack by rushing for 74 yards.
Tavon Banks made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Wildcats bested Cordova. The 5-foot-8 defensive lineman racked up three sacks.
Arlington's Drew Reed and Boring have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Reed has thrown for 1470 yards this season, while Boring has 61 catches for 1004 yards. Bolton's Henderson leads the league in rushing yards with 1101.
Cecil Vanhooks' team led AAA District 14 in scoring this week after putting up 51 points on Bartlett.
