ASU Prep was dealt a 73-34 defeat at the hands of the Storm. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for ASU Prep in their matchups with the Storm: they've now lost six in a row.
Imagine Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Richard Rodriguez led the charge by scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodriguez has scored all season. Jaylen Cassidy was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with four steals.
ASU Prep's loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Imagine Prep, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.
ASU Prep will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Imagine Prep, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Bengals at 2:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Skyline Prep has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2.
