After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southwest Onslow, Jones was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 16-3 margin over the Kinston Vikings. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won six in a row.

Jones' win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Garris Andrews, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases. Gage Mustachia was another, getting three hits from his three at bats.

The victory got Jones back to even at 1-1.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Kinston: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
