Softball Recap: Tempe Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Tempe entered their tilt with Coronado on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Dons with a sharp 24-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Buffaloes, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Kandice Chavez, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Celeste Alvarez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI.

Tempe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .763. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Tempe's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Coronado, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Tempe didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 23-4 defeat against Combs on the 8th. Hopefully Coronado paid attention to the Buffaloes' matchup: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
