Green Valley is 8-2 against Silverado since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Gators will head out to face off against the Skyhawks at 3:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Green Valley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Faith Lutheran, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Gators never let the Crusaders get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Monday. The Gators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Mia Mor Hernandez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Lyla Baxter was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Liliana Esparza was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Silverado, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against Spring Valley on Monday as they made off with a 21-5 victory. The match marked the Skyhawks' most dominant win of the season.
Silverado got a massive performance out of Jordyn Bunce, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. That home run was Bunce's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Yvonne Jimenez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Green Valley's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's game. The Gators have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Silverado, though, as they've been averaging only 0.4 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Green Valley continue to outrun the ball?
Green Valley took their victory against Silverado in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 17-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
