The Center Roughriders won the last time they faced the Spring Hill Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Center walked away with a 55-48 win over Spring Hill.
Center got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tim Johnson out in front who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emonte Cross, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Center's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-9. As for Spring Hill, they now have a losing record at 12-13.
Center will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Gilmer at 7:30 p.m. Gilmer will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1137th, while Center is ranked 414th). As for Spring Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chapel Hill is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
